Hydrofacials have become one of the most asked-about skin treatments in the UK. Here is a plain guide to what one involves, what it costs at Floatwell and how often to book.

What a hydrofacial is

A hydrofacial is a multi-step treatment that cleanses, gently exfoliates, clears congested pores and then floods the skin with hydrating serums — all in one session. Unlike a chemical peel, there is no downtime: most people go straight back to their day.

What it costs at Floatwell

Treatment Length Price
Hydrofacial Light 30 min £95
Hydrofacial Plus 60 min £145
Deluxe Facial 60 min £85

Hydrofacial Light is a quick radiance boost — good before an event or as a regular top-up. Hydrofacial Plus is a fuller, results-led session with more time on the areas that need it. The Deluxe Facial is a relaxing, nourishing facial rather than a hydrofacial, for those who want hydration and calm more than deep cleansing. Current prices are always on our skincare page.

What results to expect

Straight after a session, most people notice skin that looks brighter, feels smoother and appears more plump and hydrated. Make-up tends to sit better for the following days. Congestion and dullness respond well; deeper concerns such as pigmentation or fine lines usually need a course and a consistent routine at home.

Our three skin case studies show how treatment was tailored for mature skin, acne-prone skin and sensitive skin.

How often to book

  • For a one-off glow: a single Hydrofacial Light a few days before an event.
  • For general skin health: one treatment every four to six weeks, roughly in step with the skin’s natural renewal cycle.
  • For a specific concern: a short course, then monthly maintenance — your therapist will suggest a plan after your first session.

Before and after

Avoid retinoids and strong exfoliating acids for a couple of days beforehand, and come with clean skin if you can. Afterwards, wear SPF, drink water and skip harsh scrubs for 48 hours. If you have an active skin condition or are on prescription skincare, mention it when you book.

Booking in Cambridge
