Everything you need to know before your first visit — from what floatation actually feels like to what to bring, how we keep things spotless, and how our AI massage chair works. Still unsure? Call us on 01223 297872.

Booking

How do I book?
When you book you'll be asked to sign in — sign in first, then choose, so nothing you've picked gets lost. Use the same email you bought your sessions with (you can also sign in with Google) — that's how we find them. New here? Create an account with your email and anything you buy lands in it straight away.
Will I get a confirmation?
Yes — your confirmation email is on its way as soon as you book. If it hasn't appeared in a few minutes, check your junk or "Other" folder.
How do I use a pack (3, 5 or 10 sessions)?
Your sessions go onto your account the moment you buy — no need to wait for the email. Press Book Now, sign in with the same email, and pick your service, day and time; your credit pays, with nothing more to charge. You can see how many you have left under My Profile → Active Purchase Options.
How do I book a package?

If the package is just for you, you can book the whole thing online:

  1. Press Book Now and sign in with the same email you bought with.
  2. Add each session your package includes to the one booking — they're all already paid for.
  3. Add them in the order you'd like to do them. They're scheduled in that same order, so it's also the order your available time slots appear.
  4. Pick a start time, and we line the sessions up back-to-back for you.

Booking for two or more people? Just call us on 01223 297872 and we'll arrange it for you.

How do I redeem a gift card?
Press Use on your gift card email, then sign in (or create a free account with your own email — that's where the gift is stored). Press Redeem; your card number is already filled in, and the gift lands on your account, ready to book. Then press Book Now and choose your treatment and time.
How do I cancel or move a booking?
Sign in and go to My Schedule, find the booking, and choose cancel or reschedule. You can change it up to 24 hours before without penalty; later than that it can't be refunded or moved. Need a hand? Call us on 01223 297872.
Can under-18s visit?
Under 18? You're welcome at Floatwell with a parent or guardian: they come with you, stay on site during your visit, and sign your waiver alongside you. Under 16? Your parent or guardian also stays in the room during your session.

Floatation

What if I'm claustrophobic?
Most people are surprised by how spacious the pod feels — it's much more like floating in outer space than being shut in a box. The lid stays fully in your control: you can leave it open or ajar, keep the interior light on, and get out whenever you like. There's plenty of room to stretch out, and the door is never locked. Many first-time floaters who describe themselves as claustrophobic tell us they forgot the pod was there within minutes.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Not at all. The water is only about 25–30cm deep and contains around half a tonne of Epsom salt, which makes you extraordinarily buoyant. You float effortlessly on the surface without any effort — floating is completely automatic. You couldn't sink if you tried.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself. We provide everything else — towels, complimentary toiletries, earplugs to keep the salt water out of your ears, and a private shower in your room. Most people float without a swimsuit as you have the room entirely to yourself, but you're welcome to wear one if you prefer. A welcome drink and free onsite parking are included as standard.
How long is a float and how often should I go?
A single floatation experience is a 60-minute float (£75), with your total treatment time allowing for a shower and settling in. Many people notice benefits after a single session, but for lasting effects on sleep, stress and pain we recommend a regular rhythm — our 3 × 60-minute floats package (£195) and monthly memberships are designed for exactly that.

Massage

Which massage should I choose?
Our therapists tailor every treatment to you. Choose our Choice of Massage (60 min, £85) and let your therapist adapt the pressure and technique to your goals on the day — whether that's easing tension, aiding recovery or pure relaxation. If you'd like something more soothing and scent-led, our Aromatherapy Massage (60 min, £95) uses essential oils to calm the nervous system.
Will it hurt?
A good massage should never be more than you're comfortable with. Your therapist will check in on pressure throughout and adjust to suit you — from a gentle, relaxing touch to firmer, deeper work on tight areas. Just let them know at any point if you'd like more or less, or if a particular area needs attention.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Arrive a few minutes early so we can talk through any injuries, tension or goals before we begin. You'll undress to your comfort level in private and lie under fresh linens, with only the area being worked on ever uncovered. Afterwards, take your time — sip a complimentary drink and rehydrate before heading back out.

AI Massage

What is the AI massage chair?
Our AI massage chair is a personalised, tech-enhanced massage that scans your body and adapts to your shape, then works through your neck, back, legs and feet. You have a choice of 24 programmes covering everything from deep-tissue relief to gentle relaxation, so you can target exactly what you need. A single 20-minute session is £25, with 5-session (£95) and 10-session (£170) bundles available.
How is it different from a hands-on massage?
The chair is quick, consistent and fully in your control — ideal when you want reliable relief without an appointment window, or as an add-on to a float or sauna. A therapist-led massage offers the intuition, tailoring and human touch a machine can't replicate. Many of our members enjoy both: the chair between visits, and hands-on treatments when they want the full experience.
Do I keep my clothes on?
Yes. The AI massage chair is enjoyed fully clothed, so it's an easy, no-fuss way to unwind — pop in for 20 minutes and step straight back into your day feeling looser and lighter.

Your visit

Just bring yourself

Every room is private, with fresh towels, complimentary toiletries, earplugs and your own shower — plus a welcome drink and free onsite parking as standard.

If it's your first appointment, arrive a few minutes early so we can talk through any injuries, tension or goals before you begin. Afterwards, take your time — rehydrate before heading back out.

Infrared Sauna

How is infrared different from a traditional sauna?
Our full-spectrum infrared sauna warms your body directly rather than heating the air around you, so it feels gentler and more comfortable while still promoting a deep, cleansing sweat. People choose it to improve circulation, relieve muscle pain and support detoxification — often finding it easier to relax in than the intense, heavy heat of a conventional sauna.
How long is a session and what should I wear?
A standard infrared sauna session is 30 minutes (£35), with 3-session (£85) and 10-session (£250) bundles available. Wear whatever feels comfortable — light gym clothing or a towel is ideal. We provide towels and water, and there's a private shower to freshen up afterwards.
Any tips for getting the most from it?
Come well hydrated and drink plenty of water afterwards to replace what you sweat out. Ease in if it's your first time, listen to your body, and step out whenever you need to. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or have any medical concerns, please check with your GP first — and do let our team know so we can look after you.

Skincare

What facials do you offer?
Our advanced skincare combines technology and touch to restore radiance, hydration and skin health. Choose from the Hydrofacial Light (30 min, £95) for a refreshing reset, the Hydrofacial Plus (60 min, £145) for a deeper cleanse and glow, or the Deluxe Facial (60 min, £85) for relaxing, results-led care.
Is there a consultation first?
Yes. Every facial begins with a short skin consultation so we can understand your skin type, concerns and goals, then tailor the treatment and product choices to you. It's the best way to make sure you leave with visibly healthier, happier skin.
How should I prepare, and is there any downtime?
Come with a clean face where possible and let us know about any recent treatments, active skincare ingredients or sensitivities. Our facials are gentle and non-invasive, so most people return straight to their day glowing — we simply recommend keeping your skin hydrated and using SPF afterwards.
